McEwen Mining (TSX: MUX) will sell two non-core gold properties in Ontario, Canada, for $55 million in cash and stock. The company plans to use these funds to expand its gold production. It targets up to 300,000 gold-equivalent ounces annually by 2030.
Discovery Mining (TSX: DSV) is buying the assets, which include the Fuller property and a 60% stake in the Paymaster property. Fuller covers 210 hectares. Paymaster spans 179 hectares, with Discovery already owning the remaining 40%.
McEwen will reinvest the proceeds into its operating mines and development projects. Ontario operations will focus on Froome, Stock, and Grey Fox properties. The Stock Mine is set to begin production in the fourth quarter of 2026, with commercial production following in the first quarter of 2027.
Construction also started in September at the El Gallo project in Mexico. Production there is expected in the second half of 2027. These planned investments aim to expand output while minimizing new share issuance.
